Editing

When editing for our opening sequence we were unsure at first of how to use it and what we needed to do, we had to do a lot of pickups due to the low lighting in the house we was doing it in. However we did over come these things, in our final Part to edit we had to brighten certain parts such as the memories, we wanted the memories to look more vibrant and happy. We done this all on premier pro. When it came to doing the titles we had no idea how to do it, after we got taught we had the hang of it. Overall I think our titles worked perfectly with the way they were presented. Throughout this whole process of editing I think we worked well together and we finished everything on time, I think that after being taught a few tricks we got the hang of the programme and was able to complete the work.

Narrative

Audience Feedback

This was some of the audience feedback we got from viewers of our film. We undertook this audience research when during editing so we could take on board comments whilst completing the project. Most of the feedback was that they enjoyed the narrative, however, felt the clips were too fast to fit our genre (Romantic Drama). This meant that when rewatching the timeline we took our some clips and tightened the transitions. This meant the continuity was rectified and far smoother to watch.
One comment that we evaluated was that our protagonist walks too slowly down the stairs. When editing it ourselves we felt it fitted the pace of our film. We therefore, asked further audience members what they felt our the pace and walking down the stairs and they felt it suited the tone. Therefore, this piece of feedback was an anomaly.

Meeting 4th Feb 2014

Using Adobe Premiere Pro we started to look at the timeline of our film and work out what pick up we would need to undertake. When looking at the timeline we could see that we needed to edit our clips by changing the colour setting. By doing this we could see a clearer juxtaposition between the tone/mood of the clip. We also edited the colour so each clip was at a similar colour duration so the film has a continuity through the progress of the film.

Filming

This is one of our mistakes when filming the final scene. As you can see in the video the lighter and weather conditions would not set the piece of paper (photos) alight.

music

This was our initial idea for the music for our opening sequence for 'Absence'. When creating our final piece of music on garage band we just some of the notes and melody blended with garage band loops. This made the music much more atmospheric.

Logo For Production

We have created a logo that represents our production name. We decided to use this font as it parallels with the conventions of independent British film companies. This is realistic to our target audience and our film.
